NEW NPQ For SENCOs

We are delighted to announce that Best Practice Network has been awarded the contract to deliver the new National Professional Qualification (NPQ) for Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs).

The NPQ for SENCOs aims to equip participants with essential skills, knowledge and leadership abilities required for the SENCO role. Through our programme, SENCOs will play a pivotal role in shaping whole-school teaching practices and fostering inclusive environments where pupils with SEND can thrive.

The new leadership-level NPQ for SENCOs has been launched to support outcomes for students with special educational needs (SEN):

  • Designed in collaboration with leading experts and informed by the latest evidence
  • Master the intricacies of the SEND framework, legislation and best practices to ensure seamless support for students
  • Build strong partnerships with teachers, parents and external agencies to create a network of support for students
  • Foster a collaborative school culture that prioritises inclusive education

Who is NPQ for SENCOs for?

  • Teachers interested in developing expertise in SEND or undertaking a SENCO role in the future
  • Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs)
  • School Leaders

(SENCOs who have already obtained the NASENCO qualification will not need to complete the NPQ).
