How to apply for an EHCP? Everything you need to know to make a succesful Education, Health and Care Plan application

The BTSA is delighted to be able to offer this two-part training course to support preschools, nurseries, early years and primary settings to identify children with additional needs and guide staff through the process of applying for an EHCP to ensure all children receive timely support. 

Our two-part twilight training course is facilitated by an experience SENCO, and aims to provide all the information required to make a successful Education, Health and Care Plan application. Training will guide participants through the process of applying for an EHCP, including preparation, evidence to include and a workshop to assist with writing and completing an application based upon a child's case study. 

Tuesday 24th September 2024 3.30pm-5pm 
Session 1 will include:

  • Identifying special needs
  • Preparing evidence
  • The EHCP process
  • What to include when applying for an EHCP
  • How to ensure children with special needs are prepared for school

Tuesday 8th October 3.30pm-5pm
Session 2 will include:

  • How to complete the EHCP paperwork effectively
    (Delegates will be asked to bring along a case study to write an application for a chlld requiring an EHCP)
