Vision

The Benfleet TSA (BTSA) is committed to attracting, training and developing graduates to enable all schools within our area to reach the same level of excellence and quality of provision thus ensuring that all our young people achieve their full potential.

In order to realise this vision, our partnership schools have made a commitment to work together through the Initial Teacher Training (ITT) route with Tes Institute to provide the very best school-centred teacher training programmes in the primary and secondary sectors. The programme will seek to maximise time spent in the classroom by ensuring that the face-to-face professional studies programme is of the highest quality and delivered within our locality.

The BTSA and every partner school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  All staff and volunteers must share this commitment.  Successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced Criminal Record Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service along with other relevant employment checks, including overseas criminal background checks, where applicable. All new trustees, employees and volunteers will be required to undertake safeguarding training in induction which will be regularly updated in line with statutory guidance.
