Welcome to BTSA

High-quality teacher training and research-led CPD across South Essex and Southend-on-Sea

BTSA works with over 50 schools across South Essex and Southend-on-Sea. Originally started as a teaching school alliance, Benfleet Team Supporting All (BTSA), is a collaboration between three schools in Benfleet in Essex, and we are regional lead partners in Teacher Training, Early Career Teacher development, education leadership, National Professional Qualifications (NPQs), school-to-school support and custom-designed CPD programmes.

We are led by teachers, for teachers. All of our leaders work in schools and have a current working knowledge of education research and pedagogy. We are passionate about ensuring that all pupils in our region have access to high-quality teachers with a good understanding of teaching and learning so that they can make good progress and develop a love of learning. We only work with hand-picked, high-quality facilitators who are local and national leaders of education.

As a result of our excellent local reputation and our knowledgeable, friendly and supportive staff, participants on our programmes thrive, and Headteachers in our area recognise the strength of those who have been on our programmes.
