Oracy in Primary:
Finding Every Child’s Voice
This 2-part training is designed to assist all primary staff (teaching, support and pastoral) to promote, support and accelerate progress through Reading Fluency and Oracy: The Two Strands transforming Literacy, Inclusion and Curriculum access.
SUITABLE FOR PRIMARY PHASE ONLY
The training offers insight and strategies into the importance of building pupils’ knowledge, skills and confidence across the curriculum and beyond school life.
The course will provide key universal strategies to deploy within the classroom to build confident speakers, curious thinkers and accelerate oracy learning to maximise potential in a range of contexts.
This session will also consolidate the importance of oracy and vocabulary/language development for young people, thus building upon our earlier ‘Reading Fluency: The Missing Link between Decoding and Comprehension’ session.
It is advised that participants attend both sessions to improve foundational literacy and oracy skills for all pupils.
