Structure of the course

The course consists of 6 face to face sessions as follows. Eace session from from 3:45 pm until 5:15 pm at The King John School, Shipwrights Drive, Benfleet, SS7 1RQ

• Session 1: Leadership and Management (15th Jan 2026)

• Session 2: Leading Inclusive Practice (27th Jan 2026)

• Session 3: Leading a sustainable team (24th Feb 2026)

• Session 4: The role of quality assurance (17th March 2026)

• Session 5: Dealing with difficult conversations and managing complaints (21st April 2026)

• Session 6: Action research presentations (6th May 2026)

£250 per delegate (6 sessions)

Our Aspiring Leaders programme is aimed at teachers who are aspiring, new or existing subject leaders, departmental leads, middle or senior leaders.

Suitable for primary and secondary phases

Leaders play a vital role in schools, balancing the demands of translating strategic vision into classroom practice while meeting the needs of the pupils and staff with which they work. With such a varied and challenging job, it is essential that leaders have the skills and knowledge to help them fulfil their role. This 6-session course is designed to help individuals reflect on their current practice and develop their capacity to be confident and successful leaders.
